I'm going to go against the grain on this and say to use ladder bars with a good set of double adjustable shocks and a diagonal link
I did that on my old pump gas Duster and it flat work great, hook in a mud puddle in the middle of a rain storm AKA aside that car work great once I got the proper rear shocks on it
