My Dakota has a 155000 mile V6 and I have a 07 5.7 on the stand + wiring, no pcm. I talked with my trans guy and he said the trans would work fine but I need to know what other things I'll need to do the swap. I'll try to use exsisting cable TB. I'm thinking truck pan and intake.? Not sure about exhaust but just stock stuff.
Ideas?
4X4 or 4X2?
Your pcm will run the 5.7 you will need to tune it though.
Mounts will need to be made.
Stock truck pan will work if you trim the cross member. This would be for a 4X2 truck.
Mopar make a Cable operated TB that bolts on.
