Depends on the formula. Chlorinated contains methylene chloride and that is the 98% ingredient in paint stripper. Dulls powder coating and can weaken thin film areas. Others, non chlorinated, contain varying amounts of acetone. More acetone the faster it drys and can dull finish. Best best is wax wash that has naptha or napthalene as first ingredient.Removes oil, grease and road contamination. Won't hurt the powder coating.
