Please school me on the significance of pressure plate numbers such as 2500, 3500 and so forth. I installed a new 10.5” clutch behind a 360 Magnum that is making almost 400 lb/ft and 375 hp. The pressure plate is rated at 2,250 lbs and after a few weeks of breaking it in, the other day I finally dumped the clutch and it went up in smoke and not the tires. It slipped like crazy. Hydraulic slave cylinder and the tob will turn with everything hot and pedal out.
