Honestly so proud of my Dad (DVW). You guys can’t believe how hard he works at this to be a winner. Took home the win this weekend at the NMCA Bowling Green race. Not only Saturday in the A/FX shootout, but also on SUNDAY... This makes 5 wins his last 6 races.

-How about 100 hits on the practice tree just about every day. Hand written statistics for himself to track his progress… We’re talking 10,000+ hits a year.

-How about checking your bearings, and finding out March 20th the crank is cracked.

-How about cleaning the bottom of the car while the new crank is getting balanced, and finding out the front frame rail is cracked and needs to be fixed.

-How about Driving 8 hours to Bowling Green, when the weather showed nothing but rain all weekend.

-How about the car has never been in the 8’s and went 9.005 in Saturday testing the weekend before. And with three time trial runs remaining, he started dialing the car BACK to shoot for 9.25 index to be ready for Bowling Green the next weekend! How many of us would have done that instead of going for the 8.99?!?!

All of that hard work paid off… between what he does as a driver and a tuner, it certainly came together this weekend. How’s this for footbrake and 10.5” tire 9 second car consistency?

Saturday (Car was good, Driver was REALLY good)
.026 – 9.298 (Bye Run… ran the car as is with Friday Tuneup for True baseline)
.022 - 9.245
.016 - 9.274
.022 - 9.246

Sunday (Driver was good, Car was REALLY good)
.001 - 9.255 (he said the .001 spooked him and decided to pull back abit for the rest of the race)
.042 - 9.272
.039 - 9.251
.034 - 9.255
.035 - 9.215 (Weather change in staging lanes from cold front coming in)
.057 - 9.238

He’s wanted to win this particular race for a LONG time… So happy for him that he finally got it.
