Got the truck home. Tires make a whale of a difference! So does putting it in drive. Shop manager took it back out and said he thinks it was in 2 last time out. Did fine for him that time and I think it shifts about as well as anybody could expect.

Bill was hundred lower than I had been told, happy about that, but do wish they had fixed more and pondered less. In the amount of time they poked around I could’ve rebuilt the back brakes and thrown in valve cover gaskets.

The only smoke I’ve seen out the tailpipes is at startup. I’m not sure about the “cloud” he’s talking about. Looks like the leak onto the manifold puts out his “cloud.” They seem to like working on a 68 Mustang that’s there. Clean “restored car” that has racked up 5k in bills and he told me it’s on its way to a couple more grand. shock
