Hi all,

1971 Satellite w/factory A/C - I'm looking for a valid replacement for the factory vacuum-actuated water valve. This regulates the amount of water going into and out of the heater core. I can get one that is like the original (1st pic, below), but I've read that they were failure-prone even back then.

Apparently, this part was superseded by the factory (pics 2 & 3, below). I have been unable to locate one of these that is vacuum-actuated (cable-actuated is available). One hose goes thru the valve, but I can't tell if the other hose is straight-thru or not(?).

The last pic, below, shows what I have found: Four Seasons/Everco 74690. Notice it only allows fittings for one hose, whereas the others allow both inlet and outlet hoses to be attached. It also says "For cars without A/C". Opinions? All suggestions appreciated, thanks.
