The car is being restored to a high level, not concourse high, but I want to make the car as original as possible.

I have two 70 sixpack Bees - both have their original springs and sit at a good height. I would go ahead and restore the springs as is unless you know the car had a rough race history or was used to store gold bars in the trunk.
