Not sure about the off white thing I think the original were white also and just turned color after time. The only reason I think this is.
I had a 69 Valiant that I sold the hood and the car sat outside with the original washer bottle(filled with water fluid), the washer bottle all nasty and yellowed it turn perfectly white after time(months of sitting in the weather and sun) It looked new I could not believe it.
