It sounds like you're having the place fix the dings and dents. This may or may not be one of their stronger skill sets. There are guys out there who specialize in dent and scratch removal and polishing but farm out the anodizing. You may be better off going that route. They'll make you part perfect then farm the plating out to a trusted source and you'll end up with a "perfect" part. Plating companies often make their bread and butter on industrial volumes - not labor intensive stuff.
