Even if they were as "perfect" as a set of stage 6's can be, the best flowing version ootb was the last, the "Zeus" castings...... Which still barely flowed 260 ootb.
Some of the earlier versions were hardly over 240, with equally awful exhaust flow.

If they didn't actually need something "fixed", and you just did the basics(valve job, flat mill, oil drain back mods), then did a nice bowl blend and bought all the parts........how cheap would the heads have to be to end up less expensive than a set of E street heads?

Of course....... I've never seen a set if stage 6's where that's all they needed....... So those would be unicorn-ish in my world.

And then, you won't really know you're out of the woods until you've run them for a while.

I've had several sets come thru the shop to have the seats that were starting to fall put replaced.
