Here's a tip:
When you install the two clutch linkage rods, don't put any grease on the pins or the D of the rod. It needs to be bare steel on steel - per the Service Manual.

Due to its location, the clutch rods will pick up road dirt. The dirt will stick to the grease and will become an abrasive, actually causing the parts to wear quicker.

You will find this in Section 0, Lubrication, at the very end in the paragraph titled, "Parts Requiring No Lubrication".
