I have been using Holley pumps since the 70's. Only ever had 2 go bad on me or my son in all them years. Yes they do make a bit more noise then some but thats how I grew up in my hotrods. If I did not hear the pump run when the key was turned on I knew I had a problem. But they have been very good for me. I ran the Holley red pump in a few different cars that were mild builds and it is preset to like 6 lbs. I even ran 10's in my 63 on the red pump before I updated to the black pump. They have always worked fine for me so I have stuck with the Holley. Ron
