The intake I was going to use with my TF 240 heads has the same runner size opening as the intake ports of the heads. I would like to port match the heads to the intake manifold but keep an anti reversion step in the intake runner. Since I don't want to weld or epoxy the runner floors I was thinking about raising the intake with gaskets. This would give me 1/8" step but the runner and port roofs wouldn't line up anymore.

Shall I raise the intake port roof to align it to the intake again? This would enlarge the port a bit. I don't have a flow bench though..

What are your thoughts on smoothing the CNC grooves in the intake and exhaust ports as well as the chamber (I would leave the intake port somewhat rough - 40-60 grit)?

Thanks
