I also teach EFI courses: An EFI Overview, Holley EFI, and FAST, but I find "hands off" systems like the Fitec limit exposure to the basics of what's going on. After the EFI Overview class I find the Holley is a good step up the chain because it prepares the student for what a powerful EFI system can really do. I have found that the technical flexibility of the Holley HP and Dominator, which at first seems intimidating, really helps the student understand the importance of first - knowing how internal combustion engines work and then how EFI satisfies the needs.

Data logging and custom I/O programming is worth it on its own.
