Usually I tube the lifter galleys on my small block builds and most have been solid lifter cam builds. We just finished up a .030 over 360 with a 625 lift Reed roller cam and Comp 828-16 lifters. Priming it tonight with an electric drill our max oil pressure is around 35 pounds instead of the usual 60 plus. Have any of you guys used these roller lifters on an unbushed or untuned block. It's the same oil we usually use and I always build them on the loose side for bearing clearance as it's race only. The oil pump was reused from a build that we ran before and had very low use on it so we flushed it out and installed it. I usually shy away from on high volume pumps as I had one stick and go over 130 pounds on a pass. If it's a standard pump and you guys ran these lifters successfully we may try a high volume pump before we panic
