Agree somewhat, I remember back in the mid-late 80's a friend waited over 6 months for Edelbrock to re-start 383/6 manifold production, just like the carbs, production sometimes drops off until demand picks up...

But again you never really know lately, stuff just goes away sometimes, and with Vic Edelbrock's passing who knows what will happen to some lines of production, or if the corp gets sold off/merged/etc

So I'd say if the OP has a handle on a new/used unit, don't pass it up
