Hey Guys, I am thinking about the stuff I need to get rid of the full time system in my '78 RC.This truck will not be off-roaded or beaten in any way, so 1/2 ton axles with the 5 on 5 1/2" bolt pattern is my goal.If I am going to go thru all this work anyway, I might as well put modern offset 2001&up 17" Dodge wheels on this truck if possible. I would need wider axles to make the wheels fit correctly.Rear discs would also be a plus, but not a deal breaker.I am going to keep the original 440/727 in the truck and will locate an NP205 transfer case.Do you have any suggestions as to what axles might be the right width to accomplish this? I have all the time in the world and little money, so patience is the order of the day.I can handle stripping and relocating mounts, ect. but could never afford having custom stuff fabricated.Any and all thoughts on this subject are very much appreciated! Thanks
