Hi
Just want to share my experience with Borgeson steering box.
Just installed one in my 73 Charger. And it was a true bolt in job wrench Everything fitted perfectly.
Some people are complaining about the need for shims to line up the new box and steering shaft, but I did not need this. The original box had a very small operating angle. Because the new box is smaller the angle needs to be little bit bigger to point towards the steering column and fit perfectly. But this is taken care of in the design so no shims needed up Bought the direct fit coupler from Bergman Auto Craft, so no need for shortening the steering column, just bolt it on My Charger have the big sector shaft and the new pit man arm bolted right on, with the nut fully entering all the threads.
I have another Borgeson steering box installed on another car, GM car, and that was also a true “bolt on” box
wrench And the customer support and service from Peter and Bergman Auto Craft is just top notch up
Will try to post some photos later on...
