I have a 2016 Ram, 2WD with the 3.0 diesel and pull a 6100 lb. travel trailer. I love it. For me personally, I like the height for visibility reasons but, one unrelated problem I have had is that with the load distribution / anti sway hitch, the ball and trailer hitch are above the height of the tailgate in its "down" or open position. This creates some problems when I want to get to something in the bed while the trailer is hooked up. If I was considering lowering the truck, the trailer height in relation to the tailgate height would be worse given that I would need to raise the trailer ball height to maintain a level trailer.
