The non tinted windshield on my '70 Challenger is AMD and it looks good. The restoration shop bought it for my car so I don't know which vendor he used to get it.
When we discussed the glass options my restorer mentioned ECS date coded glass and he thought it was probably AMD that ECS then etches correct repro markings and date codes on, whereas the standard AMD they put some generic date code and not as good markings on.
I'm happy with my windshield, but not the side glass, and the rear glass is OK but could be better. In certain lighting you see light spot patterns which I've heard is typical due to modern manufacturing techniques.
I believe windshields are made differently than side and rear glass for safety standards and I haven't noticed the "spotty" look in any repro front windshields I've looked at.
