I have a steel crank short block with LY rods. Quality machine work and Balanced. Its kinda like a balanced New Yorker replacement build short block.
Its not worth using up Indy or Victor heads I have in Aluminum to make compression with a 5900 shift point engine in am available a or b body.
I'm thinking about a Turbo build with small Garrett twins.
Will this piston design (5/64 ring) be ok to build to 15psi? if so, should I call CP to replace the moly rings I used.
I see their modern Coated Stainless rings are a better choice. Im unsure if 5/64 top and bottom are available for such an application.
Pistons are .060 down. While on the subject, would a 906 Wedge head at 88cc (8.8:1 CR) or a 516 at 78cc (9.8 CR) work better considering quench.
Trying to do this in a 72 Charger Street Car..
Thanks in advance!
