I always knew I wasn't really up to speed on all the stuff that's been available for the small blocks, and this post proves it.

I had never even heard of a street dominator for a 318 before.
So, I did a google search for some pics.
I don't think I've ever seen one before...... Or if I have, never really noticed what it was.

In looking at the pics....... It appears there was two versions of it.
One an open plenum single plane without an EGR provision, the other a split plenum single plane with a channel at the rear connecting the two rear runners together, and an EGR provision.

I had always thought the "318" single plane was the streetmaster intake.

My knowledge base has been expanded a little today wink

Assessing the expected usable rpm range from a couple of pics is probably pointless, but I'm going to say that a "well built" 318 with properly reworked heads and enough cam to get it there, could easily make power into the 6000rpm range using the non-EGR version of that manifold.
