How does that even work? I had an '84 for awhile with factory AC and the controls for the vents were push button (vacuum). If you want to keep the AC, maybe it would be easier in the long run to source EVERYTHING off a factory AC truck?  I know right?! I've considered that; the search for a donor truck continues. Where that becomes a sticky wicket is then I think it would be best/easiest/smartest to do an entire dash/wiring harness swap - and to do that, I'd prefer to keep the dash color original, and its brown. I've been searching for years and to no avail.....
