I bought one and took it to an automotive upholstery shop. They were able to shorten it. They weren't happy doing it because they broke a couple of needles doing it. We have a couple of leatherwork shops around as well. They said they can do it without any issues. They do a lot with horse saddles and really thick leather. As long as you don't need it to be SFI certified, then that's OK. As far as I know Lofgren has been out of the blanket business for a while.
