My smart charger has a desulfate program built into it. The unit draws the battery down, pulses a charge backwards through the battery to clear the plates, then bring it back up to full charge. The process takes at least 24 hours to complete.

We are brothers and sisters doing time on the planet for better or worse. I'll take the better, if you don't mind.
