A moot point if you have a transmission with the larger front bearing retainer already.

a little FYI for you ... 68 and 69 are different bell housings , one is 626 , the other is 262 ... last 3 digits of casting number ... the 68 doesn't have the 3 speed pattern on it , the 69 does ... Both require a 143 tooth flywheel.
