I wouldn't buy a truck with a rotary shifter in it. Forget it.
I wouldn't but a truck with an automatic transmission or anything other than a direct linkage transfer case shifter either.
Our spare machine looks like this, and no one will run it; not after running the new one for a couple of months.
I can't say I do enough excavating with my pickup truck for it to matter. I wouldn't want to own one of these trucks when the electronic garbage starts failing. I work in the heavy duty transport industry and see it on the highway tractors. No thanks.
