Congratulations. Man seeing all that help around makes me envious. Its always been just my Son and I and now he's 26, has a girlfriend, regular sex, and their own apartment 12 miles away. He's kinda lost the racing bug and financial ability to do it right now and my interest to work on them is slowly leaving. Hope all goes well when you hit the track.
Pittsburgh I hear you there. My son is kinda the same way. Interest wanders, wil race if I am footing the bill. He does help with the car just not like he used to. I am also fortunate enough to have some younger guys I kinda mentor and they are usually enthusiastic to help. I am fortunate for sure to have them all around.
Never had my own kids, or even anyone that went with me for 30 years. I found after moving and having my stuff stored off site, I don't seem to have the desired I used to. It always seems like a giant hassle. That being said, I'm off on the 30 minute trip to the best friend a guy could have, house , to work on a couple of issues with the car and trailer. If I stay on it, I still care. I'm 63.
