I had a problem like that before. I just put an electric fuel pump on it and never looked back. Your problem could be different. I did all the usual stuff like checking the spark, had spark, but when I took the air cleaner off it was dry as a bone when we pumped it. It was a hot one!

Make sure your battery is up to snuff too.
