Bracket car with a lot of stroke, wider lobe seperation will raise RPM where peak torque occurs and be less violent at the hit. Thats ASSuming that since its just a bracket car with big tires that the chassis isnt scienced out

Additionally wider seperation lowers peak cylinder pressure which reduces chances of detonation
