I dunno the backspacing of the original wheels, they were 13" ones on mine, I think I still have them in the shed. Problem is on the 65 Cuda specifically since that is what I have and I do not know if it applies to anything else, but too tall a tire will cause more issues up front than too wide and you could definitely go with a deeper BS in the front. I run 225/60R15's up front and they just miss everything.
