451Mopar master Joined: May 2008 Posts: 5,399 Aurora, Colorado	The bolt holes are open to the oil inside the head / valve cover area. I use ACE hardware #4047429 pipe thread compound on the bolt threads. http://acehardwaremaldives.com/product/plumbing/4047429/#.VyOp6P5MHcs It is supposed to withstand oil and gas and temperatures to 500 degrees.
