I never paid attention to the Pilot bee as to the style of K on it. My 69 Bee with an SPD of 2/10 has the 68 style bottom , so the change over was after that.

As far as the comment of using up swaybars ???? The swaybar change happened for the 1970 model year , 69 model year cars would not have gotten them. The K was obviously changed before the model year started in preparation for the upcoming change.

The last k-frame shown has the holes for the early s-bar drilled not the 70 up, so they where using up what early s-bars they had, my reasoning.
