It's magnesium.....That would be a little tricky! As suggested above, once the intake has been repaired/replaced install a pop off valve (a small one installed into one of the intake bolt access plugs works well, add one in 2 different plugs to feel extra safe). This is a common problem with cross ram cars on the street, they don't like all the idling around, even with well setup carbs excess fuel can puddle in the intake when not running at higher rpms and when the fuel gets ignited it goes boom.
