I have a friend in BC that's fighting with a rear main leak in a 440...
I very sure that Chry never had a reverse rotation crank with the rear seal scallops going in the opposite direction to pass car engines. They all used rope seals.I know Ford and Chev had specific L/R rotation cranks but I'm unsure about the 440's.
Anyone know for a fact ????
It's a rear sump pan and I told him to baffle it to keep the oil away from the rear on excelleration...Something is overloading the rear seal and the reverse rotation seal surface is a very very very long shot...oil splashing to the rear on acceleration is the likely cause...
Anyone know or have an idea.

Any input would be muchly appreciated.
