Getting ready to put my 440 together and wondering about cam selection. Here is what I have, 9.2 compression,346 open chamber heads, Hooker Comp headers, Eddy RPM intake, electronic ignition, stock stall replacement convertor. This is going in a 66 Satellite, 3:23 gears. It's going to be a cruiser, that will see the track a couple of times a year, but will mostly see duty on the street and I occasionally want to spank a chevy or a furd just for fun. I don't really want a lumpy cam. Been looking at some of Hughes grinds and leaning towards something 220-230 duration @ .050 and .495-.515 lift. They have a few grinds similar to this claiming lot's of torque and smooth idle. Would like your opinions. Thanks.
