The winner is AERO KROIL . That is what I started with yesterday after getting down to just the short block. Things were tight. Let set over night, came home from work and sprayed down again, then after dinner away I went. Some of the pistons came out like they were in butter . Got all eight out with out any damage to the block or crank. Journals all looked good as did the cylinders. It looked like they had taken the intake and exhaust manifolds off and turned up on end and the oil had moisture and turned to sludge. Now I have a good 68 383 and steel crank for sale.

Thanks for all replys.
