I recently had the block cleaned up due to piston slap. Put in new pistons. Had the same problem before this happened. It would take time do to flip fan blade due to having to pull radiator to do it. When I added a/c to the car I had to move the fan closer to the radiator to clear the a/c compressor. Now only have about 1 inch gap between fan and radiator.
I have other cars that don't have shrouds and air blows back to firewall??
I seems to be mostly around town. If I let it running and parked it will eventually heat up after about 20 minutes
