So my 73 Duster 340 has been having a starting problem lately. The motor turns over but does not start. When is acts up the spark from the coil is very weak. We've done some checking changed the ceramic ballist, tried different module. Last week we hot wired it and it started right up.We found the plug connection for the fusible link was corroded. Cleaned it up and put some grease in the connection, and the car started right up.Haven't had any problems until today. And the old problem appears to be back. The guy that had helping me is an old mopar guy and is a excellant mechanic.
He said if I continue to have problems, he believes my ignition switch may be bad.It is the orginal I know for sure.
Any input, suggestions would be appreciated. If I have to get a new one which is better NOS or aftermarket? Never had to do one of these. Are they a pain to switch?
thanks,
