Yes. I have used one on my 68' Coronet with 318.
They get very good gas mileage. I used one from 79' till 84'. Then I changed it out for a Holley 500 CFM 2bbl.
The Economaster is very good on gas. I believe they are 300 or 350 CFM. Should have no trouble getting at least 20mpg or better on the highway with one of these. I had a lot of good luck with this carb. I still have it in a box.
I can't tell you the performance difference from the original Carter 2bbl carb. When I got the car in 79' the Holley Economaster was on it.
Set up right it will spin the tires but it will not pin you to the seat with the acceleration. It's just a gas mileage carb.
