From the Edelbrock Cylinder Head Installation Manual,

So, if you are having length issues, adjustable length check pushrod may be required to sort things out.

On my 440, I was able to use Factory HD Stamped Steel Rockers. Not Ideal, but cheap and they worked.

When I mounted the rocker arms/shafts, torqued them to spec, fired it up, there was a problem. The lifters hadn't pumped up. Had to loosen the shafts, run the engine a bit, then re torque to spec. That was 12-years ago, the installation that is.
