Well, frankly, I'm not overly concerned who makes this motor. All I know initially is, I like this truck. Just took a trip to Sacramento last weekend to watch my nephew race, and this truck just floated down the road. Super quiet and very comfortable. Refilled the tank yesterday and calculated the mileage and to my great surprised, it returned 28.06 mpg!! 599 miles on 21.34 gallons of fuel. Recently installed a Bak flip hard tonneau cover, so mileage should improve slightly. My wife was very hesitant about my getting this new truck until I sat her in the heated front seat. Kept asking, "What's this, what's that". Turned on the seat heater on her side and she literally melted! Now all I need is some kind of massager for her and my troubles will be over! Actually, she's starting to like the truck the more she's in it. Far as I'm concerned, this is my best vehicle purchase ever, and I've had a lot of them.
