Actually he breifly raced Dan Dyes Curious Yellow Cuda, then bought an orange '71 Cuda roller and raced it for a while until the Avenger was finished. The '71 Road Runner was wrecked during testing at Bean Blossom drag strip in Indiana, that's probably why some people didn't know it ever was wrecked.
