just saw your post, i'll get some pics today. the kickdown was about an inch away from the carb throttle shaft wish i would have checked before driving it. i readjusted according to the chilton's and the 727 tf book. took it for another test drive and similar results, although i must have adjusted something wrong because it wouldn't shift in my console correctly... reverse was down toward neutral and i'd have to shift into 2nd then up to drive before it went into drive. it drove better, the barely moving was gone but still seemed to slip a little. i quickly came back and once i went under the car to investigate my adjustments the trans was really hot to the touch. if i remove the pan will there be anything to let me know for sure the sprag is toast, like excess metal?
