The H-Beam on the R&R is tapered getting smaller as it reaches the pin, the Eagle is the same size for the length of beam.
So that looks like one way they are reducing weight. Am I reading the paper note correct? The Eagle has 0.220" above the pin, and the R&R 0.190" (or are they 0.179")

So the R&R are still wider at the pin end, 1.130". That helps support the pin.
