I mix some 30wt oil and solvent in a squirt bottle and drown the part in question & on a block for sure squirt into the oiling passages (which are machined/most likely to rust) & blow em out. Best is to store the parts in a high heat/low humidity environment where the temp does not drop below the dew point (your bedroom). Barring that make sure the parts are drowned in the mix you use. EDIT too thin (too much solvent proportion) & there's not enough oil to do the job/too thick & it will not spray out of the nozzle. You want it on the thick side
