I tried this to see if it'd be a temp solution until I either find a spring, or make one somehow...

did not work...

I only had 1 spring in my tool box drawer, if I had one on the opposite lug, I think it had worked...oh well, only takes a few minutes to pull the seat out and no jack is required.
