I find it's safer to check the manufacturer websites instead of relying on salespeople. I do this with almost everything. Every Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited gets the 3.6L Pentastar, and either the 5 speed auto or 6 speed manual. There were only minor changes to the 2015's, mostly different color options and a revised stereo.
