I knocked the muffler & converter off of my 06, and after a 1000 mile round trip pulling a 38 ft camper to the sand dunes in Oklahoma, I couldn't get a muffler back on it fast enough. I hated it to say the least. The common rail trucks dont sound anything like the earlier trucks. They have a loud, raspy tone that will likely get on your nerves after awhile. I also would like to think I am pretty tolerant of noise but they are just too loud for my taste.
